HYBRID
The term hybrid is used in different ways. There are hybrid inverters, but also hybrid systems.
Hybrid inverters:
A hybrid inverter conducts the solar energy (DC) to the places in the house where power is needed (AC). The energy that is not immediately needed is led by the inverter directly to the battery (remains DC). The advantage of a hybrid inverter compared to separate inverters is the high efficiency and low costs. Installation is simpler and faster. The disadvantage is that a hybrid inverter is not very flexible. The technical characteristics of the inverter must therefore be suitable for the project. With separate components you are more flexible in putting together a system, for example if more or fewer solar panels are needed.

Hybrid systems:
A hybrid system is a combination of a generator and a battery system. (Mobile) temporary power is especially needed in construction and roadworks. Traditionally, 100% diesel generators were used. The government (provinces, municipalities) is increasingly tasked with generating “greener” electricity. By adding a battery system, fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 70%.
In addition, a smaller generator can be used for the “baseload” and the peaks are absorbed by the batteries/inverters. To make the system even greener, optional solar panels or wind generators can be connected. Various local short-term infrastructure projects are now 100% green during the months of March to October. If there is too little yield from the sun or wind, the generator will automatically start to charge the battery.Onderkant formulier
